Day 6 of 6 BluePrint Juice Cleanse-Raw Week


What a week full twist and turns all I can say it was an experience that I am very glad that I went through.  As for the BluePrint Company I have ZERO complaints, their customer service was very good and their juices taste great. Juicing is not for me at least not by itself, if they weren't so expensive I would probably keep some on hand cause the flavor was very good. My favorite was a tie between the spicy lemonade # 4 and the cashew milk #6. I can't stress enough to anyone wanting to do the juice cleanse to do their homework and make sure it will be right for you and your lifestyle. I enjoyed challenging myself and I have a new respect for eating raw because if differently got me through the rest of the week.
After working a long night I can't stop thinking of something great to end my raw week and it hit me some eggplant chili oh ya that's right. I came up with this last summer  when I kept getting eggplants from my mother-in-law's garden it produces a lot of great veggies.

Eggplant Chili

3 eggplant washed and chopped

1 red onion chopped

1 green pepper washed and chopped

1 tomato washed and chopped

2 cans black beans drained and rinsed

2 cans kidney beans drained and rinsed 

1 can fire roasted tomatoes 

3 tbsp chili powder 

1 tbsp garlic powder

1 tbsp paprika 

1 tbsp black pepper

1 tsp cumin 

Salt to taste











Now I always like to mix in a layer at a time, so first thing mix all your spices together except salt keep it for last. Put chopped eggplant,onion, peppers and sprinkle a quarter of the seasoning in and mix well. Then add the fire roast tomatoes and the chopped tomatoes add more spices then mix well. Finally the beans and the rest of the spices mix well taste to see if you need some salt and let it chili for about 30 min in the fridge. This will go awesome with some corn bread but I couldn't find a raw recipe for cornbread, maybe next time since I won't be on strict raw diet and I will whip some up. 
All and it has been a good week after I balanced out what I need to survive and living a raw life stlye is not for me I will just stick to vegan with a couple of raw meals  a week. Now I can't wait to do some cooking this weekend. I hope you enjoyed this week.

Day 3 BluePrint Juice Cleanse The Madness Stops NOW!!!!!



 

Well after a very long 14 hour day I have had some time to think about this cleanse. It is making no sense to me that a man my size is supposed to drink the same amount as my little wife. Last night I spread the juices out to 3 hour increments and I still ran out of juice at 630 am. Now  I understand most folks don't work the hours I do but there something to be learned and that is not everyone can live off 900 calories a day. This is no longer a cleanse in my opinion it's not even a fast it's damn near starvation for me. After getting up today I am weighing in at 247.4 pounds that is a 10 pound loss since starting prepping last Thursday today is Tuesday, where I come from that is an in unhealthy loss. When my sons tell me that I look like a meth. addict and that's about how I feel (even though I don't do any drugs) something has to change. I will continue to drinks the juices because they do taste good especially number 6 but I am gonna add some raw veggies back into the plan. Anything over a loss of 2 pounds a week is not good for you, I found on line that for a man my size should consume 2200 calories a day for a loss of 2 pounds per week. I will use My Plate by Livestrong app. to count the calories up to at least 2000 calories a day.
Now I am not gonna calls a failure but more of a game changer instead of a week just juice now it's a raw week with me still drinking all my juices and eating only raw foods with the exception of the pistachios they are roasted but owell get over it. With my juices and my lunch I will only be 1835 calories for the day I am happy with that. And still no sugar or my  Gardein cheeseburgers but they are on the menu for Sunday I can't wait.
My lunch will be some
Cucumbers
Green Peppers
Grapes
Pistachios
and juices 3-6
I will let you know how I feel in the days to come but I have a really good feeling about this choice.

Day 2 of the BluePrint Juice Cleanse


 
Nothing to exciting to say other my smell is picking up everything food related with in a mile. This morning I was pouring some cat food and it smelled good to me starting to wonder if I am having a melt down.
Due to the fact the I will be on my mid-night schedule for the rest of the cleanse I can only have one juice this morning then I will back on track this evening. This will be the true test if I can do this, while I drive I always have snacks with me to munch on going down the road. I have to laugh cause 8 years ago I was leaving out with a foot long sub, 2 packs of gummy worms, and a hell of a lot more junk food now a normal night is 3 oranges, 3 apples, 2 bananas, a baggie of carrots, and sack of plain air popped popcorn, and a small bag of pistachios mind you I work 10 to 14 hours a day. I still can't believe how horribly I used treat my body with the horrible food and pills to solve all the problems that came from my poor eating habits, but enough of the trip down memory lane back to the cleanse. 
I would suggest to anyone thinking or planning to do a cleanse to only try the 3 day cleanse first to see if it is do able. I am sitting here now day dreaming of the food that I could be cooking right now, but surprisingly I am not hungry just missing my food. 
After waking from my nap I really did not feel to bad but I was looking forward to drinking my next juice and whipping together some of my sloppy joes (only joking). Now packing my lunch for the night they supply you a lunch bag a small ice packs that are really cold and fit in there perfectly.




All the other truckers will be checking out my new lunch box while I am walking through  the yard. I will let you know how tonight goes.

Day 1 BluePrint Cleanse Finally The Wait Is Over


Finally it's Sunday morning and we are officially on the cleanse now, current stats I am 6'-1" tall and weighed in at 252.4 pounds. I lost 5lbs just from the 3 day of prepping. The last 3 days were brutal not being able to cook the foods that I love to eat, it has been very disciplining.
Now juice 1-3 is the Green Juices they are made of
Romaine
Celery
Cucumber 
Apple
Spinach 
Kale
Parsley
Lemon


You have to shake the juices very well, as you see the before on the left everything is settled on bottom.



First you start with your cup of warm lemon water to help you belly get ready. Then the first juice is the green juice, the big flavor I taste is the apple so they are going down very smooth and are very easy to drink. Our projected timeline for the day should go like this
7 am juice 1
10 am juice 2
12 pm juice 3 
2 pm juice 4
4 pm juice 5
6 pm juice 6 
They want at least 12oz water between each juices that is no problem for me cause I love to drink water so it will be easy. 
Juice 4 is Spicy Lemonade it is made of
Water
Lemon
Agave Nectar 
Cayenne




Well it is 3 pm right now and I regret this so bad the only reason I keep going on is the pure fact we spent money on this dumb ass idea. At this rate I don't know if I will finish the cleanse or just eat and drink the juices along with the food. I know this is only day one and everyone says it gets easier I really hope so. It's not that I am starving not at all it's just the missing of the food that I love to make and eat. I am really trying to make it through the cleanse. After juice 5 I have calmed down a little but now making supper for the boys and this is brutal they might have to go out to eat the rest of the week.


Let me just say this, feeling like crap all day wanting just to quit the cleanse and cook a huge meal and enjoy it well that's all be hind me now all because of juice 6. This is like having a melted ice-cream cone in a jug and it does make it all better. I will keep going on the cleanse just knowing that this is the last juice of the day.

Final Day of Prepping Thank goodness

Sitting here day dreaming of all the food I am craving I hope this week goes fast. My energy level is very low today the headache has left and I am feeling like I am in slow motion. Tomorrow can't get here soon enough, part of me is thinking that this whole idea might of been a very stupid idea and the other part of me is really excited.  I just spent the last half hour texting food porn pics to Amber, she is keeping me on the right path and I am trying to break her down but its not working.

For my final supper I went with another orange infused salad but this time I dressed it up with some peppers, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, and some seedless grapes.



The juicing starts tomorrow I can not imagine it being any worser than this, mentally this might be my hardest challenge yet but 6 days will be here and gone before I know it.

Prepping For BluePrint Juice Cleanse OH GOD WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



Well ever since seeing the Fat, Sick, And Nearly Dead documentary I have wanted to try to juicing for a week. This might be harder than I have thought at night while driving I have a variety of healthy snacks to munch on  going down the road with my coffee by my side. Now I will be swapping all that for some jugs of juice OH YA BIG FUN.
After searching for the best way to do this venture Amber found the BluePrint Cleanse. They give you step by step guides on preparing for the Cleanse and advice on how to get through your adventure. You are supposed to prep 3 days before starting the juicing. They advise mainly fruit and green vegetables so I came up with this for dinner tonight:

Steamed Broccoli and Guacamole Fused Salad - It was really good.


 I will keep post as I go to let you all know how much fun I am having.
